Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 3, 2026 This policy is reviewed periodically and may be updated without notice.

FOR Students, Inc. ("FOR Students," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our website or takes part in our programs. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

We collect limited personal information, mainly in these ways:

  • Forms you fill out. When you contact us, sign up for our newsletter, express interest in volunteering, pitch yourself or someone else as a podcast guest, or ask about bringing a program to your school, we collect what you provide — typically your name, email address, and any details or message you include.

  • Donations. When you donate, your payment and contact information is collected and processed by our donation platform, Bloomerang, on our behalf. We do not store your full payment card information ourselves. [Bloomerang's privacy policy]

  • Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site — for example, which pages are viewed and for how long. This information is generally aggregated and does not identify you individually. See "Cookies & Analytics" below.

  • Program participation. If you or your student takes part in one of our programs (Students FOR Students, LAUNCH, or NEXT), we may collect information needed to run that program, such as school name and contact details.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except as described in this Policy.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your questions or requests

  • Send updates about our programs and impact, if you've asked to receive them

  • Process and acknowledge donations

  • Operate, staff, and improve our programs and website

  • Communicate with the schools, families, and volunteers involved in our work

Media

We may photograph, film, or record students, families, staff, and volunteers at our events, programs, and podcast, and share these images, recordings, or stories on our website, social media, and other materials. We only publish an image, video, or story that identifies a specific individual with that person's permission — and, if that person is a minor, with a parent or legal guardian's permission as well.

If you would like an image, video, or story removed, or have a question about how it's being used, contact us at inquiry@forstudents.org.

Children's Privacy

Our programs primarily serve high school students. We do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, and if we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without that consent, we will delete it. As described above, we obtain a parent or legal guardian's permission before publishing any photo, video, or story that identifies a minor, regardless of age.

Cookies & Analytics

Our site may use cookies to support basic functionality and to enable analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site; you can review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can limit this tracking through your browser settings or available opt-out tools.

Third-Party Services and Links

Our website links to, or embeds content from, third-party services, including our donation platform (Bloomerang), our newsletter sign-up (Google Forms), the platforms where our podcast is available (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and YouTube), and our social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube). These third parties have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them — we are not responsible for the privacy practices of any site other than our own.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

Your Choices

You can:

  • Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send

  • Request that we remove a photo, video, or story featuring you or your child

  • Ask what information we have on file about you, or request that we delete it, by contacting us
